My experience began in Kelowna when I was 18 and had just graduated from high school class of '82,

I purchased my first home, which was in need of some major renovations.

I completed the renos and several months later, sold the home for a handsome profit. I realized I was good at this and enjoyed doing this work. I decided to further my education at Carpentry College and graduated in 1985 as a Journeyman Carpenter from Okanogan College.

While apprenticing, I worked on a variety of residential and commercial projects.

Gwen was finishing her last year in Nursing at Okanogan College when we met.

We married in 1986 and together we began our family construction company and real estate investments.

Our construction work took us to Alberta; we spent time furthering my educations into the real estate industry, and Gwen into nursing.
I took the Alberta Real estate Licensing course, graduating in Early 1987. Beginning as a Realtor for N.R.S. Realty Edmonton, and soon became top Realtor in the Company. We both love adventure so after Edmonton we packed our bags to travel the world. During that time we had fun crewing boats in Mexico to hiking the mountains in Venezuela. Our next adventure and the biggest of all were to start a family.

We moved ourselves and Family back to B.C. and continued self employment with our Real Estate investment and Development Company, owned and operated for the last 25 years.
We have had a wide range of experience in all aspects of construction and real Estate trading and investments.

Experience and responsibilities:

Designing real estate transactions and contracts, I have dealt in and sold hundreds of residences and commercial units.
Developing and implementing strata corporations.
Managing multi family buildings and Strata corps.
Designing and developing residential subdivisions, development procedures, civil construction and zoning laws.
Designing and development of Real estate disclosure statements.
Marketing real estate and market analysis.
Residential and commercial mortgages, second mortgages, demand loans, pre-qualifying purchasers, and all aspects of financing.
Building contracts and designing building specifications.
Business plans and corporate structuring and design, shareholder and partnership agreements, designing companies and the Company Act. Operating investment companies.
Managing Commercial buildings, lease and strata laws.
All aspects of construction, I am bonded with Travelers Guarantee Home warranty Program.
Private School Board of Trustees, site development director, design community bond programs and real estate transactions, work in development of schools in “not for profit” society.
Land surveying, land titles encumbrances, designing statutory right of ways and easement.
Heritage designation of BC properties.
Calculating and understanding GST and property purchase tax and laws.
Teaching high school, Industrial Education.

Our experience has taught us many things, such as honesty and ethics while doing business in the real estate and construction industry. We pride ourselves in doing the best that we can when Building, Project Management and Trading of real estate.
